Shoptalk 2022, also known as the Retail’s Big Reunion, is the first full-scale B2C retail conference post-pandemic, held from 26th to 29th March in Las Vegas, USA. The excitement level at the event was off the charts, with global restrictions now lifted and the industry returning to normalcy. The event is held annually with the motive to mature innovation and concepts reshaping the digital commerce space.
Shoptalk was founded by Anil D. Aggarwal and Simran Rekhi Aggarwal in 2015 and was acquired by Hyve Group, plc. in 2019. The event has been ever since the perfect platform for brands, retailers, startups, and investors to network, learn and collaborate. We are glad to bring you all the front-line action.
More than 10,000 attendees were present at this edition of the Shoptalk, including retailers, brands, and solution partners. The vibe, in general, was next level, as the event was happening in physical space after three years, as the last two meet-ups were digital owing to the pandemic restrictions. The event was spread across four days consisting of 80 sessions with 250 speakers sharing their knowledge. Moreover, this year, the Shoptalk 2022 content was 100% original and developed in-house, including independent research, database, frameworks, visual guides, benchmarking studies, etc.
Some of the spotlight topics of dialogues amongst the attendees were pathbreaking digital experiences, the ‘phygital’ retail customer experience, the changing consumer behavior, and innovative advanced commerce technologies.
Lastly, the event had social gatherings and networking opportunities for everyone, including the Sunday Night’s Party at the Park and the Tuesday’s Whiteout Beach Party showcasing the legendary Flo Rida.

Shoptalk 2022 covered discussions around the latest innovations, advanced tech stacks, retail trends, and popular business models across various industries, including apparel, electronics, beauty, health, pharma, groceries, etc. The attendees got a comprehensive view of the future of the retail sector.
The rising popularity of omnichannel shopping experiences amongst customers paves the way for newer platforms and channels, including Livestream shopping, AR & VR, and the Metaverse. Brands are now working harder than ever to build long-lasting, virtually personalized relationships with their customers. Talking about personalization, everyone at Shoptalk spoke about the demand for a hyper-personalized shopping experience. Also, a point of discussion was the end of pandemic restrictions and the big comeback of physical shopping. Finally, today no session can be complete without mentioning sustainability and purpose. This was a part of almost every session at Shoptalk 2022. Brands, business owners, and almost everyone else stressed the importance of a robust reverse logistics infrastructure, increasing product lifespans beyond firsthand ownership, reducing plastic packaging, increasing usage of bio-degradable materials, and reducing the carbon footprint.
